I had the opportunity to provide primary healthcare services, supported by Relief International, with a focus on a specific population in Beirut. The main goal of our efforts was to reduce the prevalence of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and improve maternal and newborn health outcomes.Regular monitoring and evaluation of the implemented programs were essential to measure their effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. We collected data, analyzed trends, and utilized evidence-based practices to continually adapt and refine our interventions.Overall, as a Community Health Worker and Team Leader, I had the privilege of spearheading initiatives that not only addressed the immediate healthcare needs of the population but also worked towards creating lasting positive changes in their overall well-being.

During my internship, I had the opportunity to work in two departments and gain valuable experience:Vocational Training Department: In this role, my focus was on empowering and strengthening the resilience of youth. I actively participated in projects aimed at providing them with knowledge and opportunities to enhance their skills. By organizing workshops and training sessions, I helped young individuals gain confidence and actively engage in social activities.Primary Healthcare (PHC): As an intern in the PHC department, I worked closely with doctors and nurses, ensuring that they adhered to occupational health and hygiene standards. Patient safety was a top priority, and I shadowed medical professionals to observe their practices. Subsequently, I had the privilege of delivering two educational lectures, emphasizing the importance of these standards and providing instructions on proper handwashing and hygiene procedures.
