BDO Bahrain is a member firm of the international BDO network; fifth largest multinational professional services organization. The main responsibility of this position is to support & supervise the growth of BDO Bahrain audit, advisory & other business lines. Main duties include:-Setting up the department strategy aiming to improve the operational activities, revenue generating & client satisfaction.-Determine compliance with policies and procedures.-Preparing reports to highlight issues and problems.-Setting up the department budget & manage the resources based on it. -Managing both the back office & marketing units. -Controlling & monitoring the performance/work flow of the front office:-Reviewing & approving all the business lines proposals & engagement letters.-Monitoring the proposal development process and maintain the time-lines for the proposal teams to provide the service. -Monitoring the unit’s deliverables. -On the strategic management side, undertaking detailed financial analysis of the company business lines performance.-Assist the CFO in performing the company analytical review, including revenues, expenses, aging receivable, cost allocation, etc -Setting up & managing bookkeeping & finance company as a new income generating line. This includes designing and implementing the organization structure along with setting up the company business processes & work flow.-Manage existing and newly-hired teams to develop go-to-market plans and ensure growth initiative targets are achieved.

Strategic Duties-Develop and implement policies & procedures for both the financial control & Back office units and ensure the appropriate policies and standards are set and adhered to.-Manage the budgetary process, including preparing and justifying a budget, operating the budget under organizational procedures and constantly review ongoing budget compliance in relation to the company.-Oversee the allocation of financial resources and identify cost-effective approaches.-Set up the staff target and incentive scheme along with profitability margins for each business revenue centre. Operational & Financial Duties-Managing the properties management department operations. -Maintain and monitor present and past operational trends and costs.-Manage, train and direct the financial control, HR & operation department’s staff.-Reviews and recommends all financial reports to the Managing Director for approval.-Approve all payment, bank reconciliations, reimbursements and payroll summary.-Liaise with the external auditors.Business Development-Involved in advisory service job and project consultancy.-Involved in developing and structuring Real Estate Investment Portfolios (“REIP”) -Establish and advise Specialized Ventures-Assist in setting up and prepare comprehensive feasibility study.-Build and maintain financial models and provide clients with available options and scenarios.-Actively participate in marketing the company investment products and looking for strategic partners as per the requirements of the business.

Investment Department - Pre acquisition Division -Carrying out initial due diligence, business valuation, projects screening and market research studies for new potential deals.-Producing industry analysis, benchmark analysis, and necessary documents to support the execution of pipeline deals.-Arranging & coordinating with third parties in preparing in depth due diligence, Feasibility studies and associated financial modules in a timely manner. -Structuring Ijara real estate products.-Assist in finalizing investment structure between all related parties i.e. legal, risk, financial, and CBB.-Preparing the initial summary documents such as Factual Summary, offering summary, Placement -Teaser & Investment committee approval application for new potential investment.Investment Department - Post acquisition Division-Managing the Bank funds, real estate asset, subsidiaries & SPV. -Managing and coordinating with fund administrators in Mauritius and Cayman Island i.e. -supervising the preparation of the financial statement, quarterly management account, payments, minutes & other operations transactions.-Coordinating with the fund’s auditor-Preparing Investors quarterly report for existing investments including financial analysis.-Managing the final stage of a major real estate product consisting of development and sale of 82 luxurious villas targeting the housing sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain and coordinating with the project's architectural consultant, quantity surveyor and contractors.-Member of Quality assurance committee and assigned to develop a cartelized filing system & create a documentation system, template & forms for the Investment department.Financial Control Department-Investment Accounting -Preparation of SPV’s Reporting, Monthly Management Account and Financial Statements.-Preparation & Reviewing all SPV’s payments & transfers.

Working as an External Auditor in the Investment Banking Group, Assurance & Advisory Business Services Group (AABS). Participated in the Year End Audit, Quarterly and Analytical Reviews, Anti Money Laundering and other agreed upon procedures of leading investment banks and other companies in Bahrain, including: Investcorp Bank Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi Bahrain Development Bank
