As a Process Engineer at Evonik, I focus on product and process development projects assessing technical and commercial feasibilities with early TRL stages 1-4 (technology readiness level) in the Process, Technology, and Engineering Department. My role as project responsible is working with different business lines and chemical plants developing innovative and sustainable solutions. My professional interests include technology development and design, industrial research, Aspen simulations, business case development, and project management. My doctoral degree in Chemical Engineering at Auburn University entitled "Advances in Understanding Graphene Hybrids and MXenes" specialized in nanomaterials, energy storage, colloids, phase behavior, and rheology. Applications for the graphene/MnO2 and MXene/NaCl systems studied include supercapacitors, sensors, 3D printing, and films. My experience in laboratory characterizations includes wet chemistry, multifunctional aerogel (nanoporous materials) formation with freeze-casting, electrode fabrication, spectroscopy (UV-vis, FTIR, Raman, XRD), microscopy (AFM, SEM, POM), thermal (TGA, DSC, annealing), porosimetry (BET), rheology (oscillatory, steady-shear viscosity), and electrochemical testing (CV, EIS) techniques. Throughout my graduate career, my accomplishments include 4 paper publications, 1 patent, 1 research poster award, and 1 fellowship. From my undergraduate career at the University of South Alabama, my achievements included a chemical engineering scholarship, interdisciplinary co-advised research as my departmental honors thesis, a research poster award, and an internship in the Acrolein production plant with Evonik Industries. My industrial experience at Evonik included working on process improvement projects, such as P&IDs, piping circuits, equipment design, plant shut down procedures, and process safety studies (PHA). My passion is advancing next generation products and technology with research and industrial efforts.
Listed skills include Matlab, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Powerpoint, and 36 others.
