I'm working on two research projects: the first involved the design and synthesis of small molecule agonists of the EphA2 receptor to target glioblastoma. The project that I had been working on involves the design, synthesis, and characterization of small molecules that have activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis the organism that causes tuberculosis (TB). I was also interested in learning techniques required for conducting organic chemistry, including training on instrumentation analysis. We have a separate research program related to vaccines, in particular, anticancer vaccines. I designed the vaccine in collaboration with a graduate student in my lab.
