Focused on improving thermal performance using green technologies. Through quantitative research methods, i.e., measurements and computational techniques, part of the research outcomes was published in IOP Conference Series. ● Assessed the mechanism of green systems, mainly green façades and green roofs on envelopes thermal performance, annual energy and CO2 emissions reduction, and electricity cost-saving.● Reduced time consumed by more than 50% when assessing thermal envelope performance through design and developed a workflow using BIM & VPL.● Guided and advised undergraduate and two graduate students on a graduation/dissertation project about sustainable architecture and environmental engineering.

The study investigated the courtyard as a passive cooling technology to improve indoor thermal quality and occupants' health in office buildings in tropical climates—the results of the study were introduced at local conferences to audiences ranging from 5 to 30+ people.● Analyzed the existing literature to review the evolution of courtyard buildings in Malaysia.● Maintained and conducted field experiments in 3 courtyard office buildings using Thermal comfort meter station BABUC/A and Lutron LM 8000 instrument to measure the quality of the indoor environment.● Evaluated users' perception of the courtyard in their work area using POV survey and statistical analysis techniques.
