I fell in love with the English language very early in my life. I went on to study linguistics, as well as all kinds of literature and cultural aspects of the English-speaking world. I then did a bit of research on postmodern American literature before moving on to translation, which was a good way for me to combine my interest in languages with the scientific demands of technical documentation. I first worked in-house and went freelance in 2006.Today, I mostly work for two specific industries: cybersecurity and print.I have always been interested in IT: as a bona fide geek, I’ve been building my own PCs for 20 years and I’m constantly looking to optimize my setup. I logically started translating for IT from the beginning. IT translation led me to specialize in networks and cybersecurity, which are so essential to modern activities. Today, I offer my services to several clients tackling various aspects of this ecosystem: identity and access management, external attack surface protection, DevSecOps, cyber risk quantification, etc.After a few years translating for technical and industrial companies, I chose to specialize in graphic design and print production, which is a market that’s halfway between art and technology, whether it is offset, flexo, UV print, large format, etching and engraving, screen printing or even DTG.I’m also passionate about music and I taught myself to play various instruments. I’ve written and produced my own pieces since 1998 and I’ve followed the explosion of computer-assisted music technologies, from 4-track tape and MiniDisc recording to modern DAWs and AI-based mastering.
