We specialize in the rapid production of prototype optics, optomechanics, and injection mold components for organizations trying to shrink product development and project schedules. Our products have landed in the deep ocean and have flown in space.At Nanophorm I created 3D models and engineering drawings using Solidworks for fixtures and in-house design projects, the main one being to design a new diamond turning machine setup. I wrote Python scripts to prove the functionality of the new setups (trigonometry and error measurement), reverse engineered a malfunctioning CNC tool changer, reprogrammed it with a PLC, and added a new display/interface.Other miscellaneous tasks included:Lapping fixturesbasic air plumbingdisassembling an old spindle setuptaking precise measurementscleaning the CNC machine.
