• Advise student-athletes on General Education, Title V, Major requirements and other university related BA andBS requirements for the 9 colleges and 120 majors.• Advise approximately 90 student-athletes in 5 different sports including: Men’s Soccer, Men’s Volleyball,Women’s Beach and Indoor Volleyball and Women’s Golf.• Monitor and track satisfactory degree progress of students in relation to NCAA continuing eligibility rules.Communicate this information to their sport supervisor, coaches, and various athletic administrators.• Serve as a liaison to other campus support services including the various advisement centers and majordepartments, Career Center, Counseling Center, Disability Resources and Educational Services, and Admissionsand Records.• Conduct recruiting visits with prospective student-athletes in all 14 sports offered at CSUN.• Regularly meet with team’s “At-Risk” student-athletes and monitor their academic progress.• Travel with Men’s Soccer team and administer study hall and one on one academic specialist meetings with “At-Risk” student-athletes.• Develop academic support plans for student-athletes which includes assigned structured study hall hours, tutoringrequirements and any additional support to ensure academic success.• Oversee Structured Study Hall program, including supervising, hiring, training and creating schedules for studyhall monitors.• Created and implemented structures, policies and scheduling for pilot Objective Based Study Hall program for“At Risk” teams.• Complete preliminary transfer evaluations on incoming student-athletes to assess eligibility and any academicconcerns.• Maintain knowledge of APR, including forecasting future multi-year APR based on academic history and aidingin degree completion of former student-athletes to regain lost APR points.
