Over 500 parts.KEY ACHIEVEMENTS• When entered the company, immediately supported to stabilize a supply disorganization of materials coming from Asia. • Modified the logistics of 2 of our suppliers, currently saving 600 usd per week.• Created a excel reports (with macros) for more efficient production planning & purchasing processes.• Have gotten approved 2 projects that will save around 100K usd in a year. This is for some gaskets and plates for transducers lines.

RESPONSABILITIES• Purchase of over 600 parts of Japanese (most of parts) and american suppliers.• Maintain premium freight below avg. of $500 per month.KEY ACHIEVEMENTS• Decreased the stock of Japanese supplier from an Avg. of $1.2 M down to $600K.• Premium freight was reduced significantly from a monthly avg. of $5-10K down to $100-300.

RESPONSABILITIES• Assure resources to achieve production compromised.• Support planner buyer and scheduler on issues related with materials and production plan.• Balance production lines.• Provide guidance to two buyers.• Maintain service level over the 99% and backorders below $5,000 in average.• Manage a portion of the purchasing.KEY ACHIEVEMENTS:• Achieved 99% service level goal by creating an efficient shortage program & report that helped prevent numerous machine downs.• Created various executable excel programs which standardized process and eased procedures obtaining improved results in different areas: material control, QA, material cycle counting audit, raw material planning, MRO reporting & production plan scheduling.

Savings of approximately $200k in a year.• Within a few weeks reduced stock amount by $400k by using obsolete material as substitute.• Shared initiative in a Kaizen project were material stock at one vendor was reduced from 2.3M to 600k (Kaizen Week, December 2008, King of Prussia, PA).
