As a member of the Nonprofit Leadership team, my internship responsibilities revolved around advocacy and fundraising for the organisation, including PR and marketing responsibilities. I ran digital and print marketing campaigns of my own to increase awareness about the Borgen Project’s mission to eradicate global poverty. I utilised online platforms (Instagram & YouTube) to run social media campaigns. I also used digital content creation tools such as Canva to create marketing assets. I was also involved in media outreach in which I contacted news publications and editors to run stories related to the Borgen Project’s cause, for increased awareness.During my time at The Borgen Project, I was also trained in basic Human Resources skills, including identifying suitable candidates during recruitment, as well as updating job postings for the organisation.
