CurrentAs a Patient Service Representative, also known as a Medical Receptionist, my role serves as the first point of communication between doctors and technologists and patient and technologists.My responsibilities are checking in patients, ensuring insurance authorization is good to go (worker’s compensation or LOP as well), verifying doctor’s orders, handling different billing types, answering calls, and replying to emails in a timely manner.In my position, I emphasize ensuring smooth and timely patient care, thorough communication between different departments and doctor offices, and assisting patients emphatically and efficiently.
