▪ Make recommendations to the Chief Engineer on new policies and procedures for more economical running of this area to improve maintenance and maintain the highest standards.▪ Assists the Chief Engineer with the selection and training of maintenance ambassadors.▪ Carry out preventive maintenance to ensure standards are maintained.▪ Liaise with the Chief Engineer regarding options to improve energy management and conservation.▪ Be responsible for the testing of fire alarms, emergency lighting etc. on a routine basis as required by local Council and Fire Service.▪ Liaise with the Chief Engineer regarding the use of contractors, ensuring work is to the standard required by the Company and manufacture specifications.▪ Maintain records of work done and daily checks as required by local Council, Government and manufacturer specifications.▪ Liaise closely with Front Desk and Housekeeping regarding ‘down’ rooms to expedite a quick turnaround and return to inventory.▪ Recommend to the Chief Engineer regarding procedures to improve the overall efficiency of the department.▪ Carry out project work/prepare reports as requested by the Chief Engineer.▪ Attend and actively participate in meetings respecting the confidentiality of issues, which may be discussed formally or informally.▪ Contribute to cost control through energy conservation, correct storage of all materials and use of equipment per operating standards and manufacturers' specifications.▪ Ensure all ambassadors are aware of procedures to follow in the event of an emergency, such as fire, armed holdup, earthquake, bomb, etc. in line with Company Policy and Legislation.

Responsibilities:• Supervise the demolition of big apartment and construction of 7 new rooms including 2 loft rooms;• Organize the in situ and original architectural and structural drawings;• Supervise the contractors for regular breakage and maintenance of existing rooms;• Locate the minor cracks in concrete slab and supervise the water proofing of it;• Identify the source of water leakage in basement and remedy the situation of water seepage.Achievements:• Successfully able to complete the construction of new rooms with the help of Chroma Group;• Able to confine the water leakage successfully without damaging the foundation of build;• Crack were successfully identified with the help of sensors and roof surface was patched and cover with water proofing material.

This organization deals with the generation and supply of electricity in whole Pakistan, which includes construction of mega structures like dams, tunnels and huge platforms for wind and solar energy generation. I was part of this project as an intern for 3 month. Project included construction of 2 long tunnels. One with old method of drill and blast while the other one using Tunnel boring machine (TBM). This project also included construction of new dam and spillways for diversion and storage of existing water channel. The project is known as Neelum-Jhelum Hydropower Project.My role was to learn the different methods of excavation and steps involved in it. Also, I was given a task to calculate the total number of trucks required to excavate the area for dam and cost involved in it.
