Key responsibilities include the design and implementation of a regional Geographic Information System and Information Management strategy (2017-20) and establishing a network of Spatial Data Infrastructure for 17 countries in the region. The region includes complex operations and corporate level3 emergencies including Syria and Yemen and Level2 emergencies of Iraq and Libya. The GIS strategy also include preparedness through standardization and updating of minimum data sets for emergencies and a series of capacity building trainings in GIS, web-GIS and satellite remote sensing techniques. I was also responsible of regional data management and collection using innovative techniques including WFP-MDCA, ODK, KOBO, Survey123 and WFP-GRASP. Major achievements include;- Design and implementation of Regional GIS Strategy and established Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) in the Regional Bureau Cairo (RBC) and nine country nodes. This includes standardization of 300+ essential data layers across all the countries.- Climate analysis of historical (35 years) Rainfall, Temperature and Vegetation data analysis for Syria, Iraq, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tunisia and Egypt to guide WFP’s Livelihood and Green Climate Fund initiatives using CHIRPS, CRU and Sentinel-2 data. This includes seasonal monitoring for early warning and food security monitoring.- Capacity building of more than 170 professionals from more than 22 different country offices (including hosting governments) and 4 Regional Bureaus through a series of regional trainings, on-the job support and webinars to expand the regional response capacity in geospatial data analysis and management.- 150+ static maps annually, 400+ web-maps and 30+ interactive web-mapping applications.- Managed a regional team of national and international GIS and data analysis officers

The key responsibilities include data management and analysis to ensure that WFP builds and maintains a comprehensive overview of the food security situation both inside Syria and in the neighboring Syrian refugee-hosting countries. The Office for Operational Information Management (OIM) is responsible of building and maintaining the regional overview of WFP's response, providing support to the corporate response in terms of Reporting and IM, which in tum includes mapping. Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey, Iraq and Syria, each have their own unique requirements and needs. Key component of the profile is to ensure robust support to each country operation within the regional crisis response.

As a Programme Officer at VAM unit, the main responsibilities include:
• Identify information needs for food security analysis and initiate, plan, and supervise the analysis activities
• Identify information sources for food security analysis.
• Spatial analysis and presentation of food security information and related thematic fields for WFP Food Security Assessment Reports.
• Set up and maintain an up-to-date WFP spatial database
• Provide mapping support to other WFP units and sub-offices, UN agencies, and NGOs
• Liaise with UN agencies and other NGOs on spatial data.
• Train WFP staff, counterpart NGOs, and government staff when needed;
• Support Logistics Cluster and Food Cluster requests.
• Supervise and manage the staff in the team.

Heading Appraisal, Monitoring & Evaluation Unit (AMEU) of ACTED Pakistan under hierarchical supervision of the Country Director and the functional supervision of the Regional Director-Asia. General Responsibilities include supporting project design and overview, coordinating project assessments and their follow-up, setting up and regularly updating the country's Data Management System, and supervising the country's Resource Center.

Supporting Country Appraisal, Monitoring & Evaluation (AME) Coordinator of ACTED Pakistan to manage the AMEUnit activities. General responsibilities include supporting project design and overview, coordinating project assessments and their follow-up, setting up and regularly updating the country's Data Management System, and supervising the country's Resource Center.

Specific Responsibilities at ACTED include monitoring and evaluating different ongoing activities through supervising the preparation, conception, and production of infographics. Setting business rules for project monitoring and evaluation.

Specific responsibilities at NADRA include; providing technical leadership to the transformation of Pakistan's land revenue records system into a digital geospatial information management system.

Responsible for the project management activities of various ongoing projects, object-oriented programming, documentation, and proposal writing. It also included backup support in the analysis for ongoing projects, and providing Training to the government and UN clients.
