As Head of R&D, I drive the strategic vision and execution of innovative data solutions powered by AI and ML for industries like retail and FMCG. I oversee development projects, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure alignment with business objectives. Currently, I am leading impactful projects across the Gulf region, particularly in Saudi Arabia (KSA), focusing on delivering cutting-edge, AI-driven solutions that address industry challenges.

As the architect for learning content, I spearhead a team of content engineers to design and deliver cutting-edge cloud computing courses on AWS. I oversee the creation of immersive AWS cloud labs, providing hands-on learning experiences that empower developers to master key services like compute, database/storage, networking, containers, and application integration.Additionally, I designed and developed the AP Computer Science A exam preparation course tailored for high school students in the U.S. This course equips students with the necessary skills to excel in the AP CS A exam, enabling them to earn college credits. The course is strategically developed to align with the latest educational standards, leveraging AI and personalized learning paths to maximize student success.

-- On Tenure Track System (TTS) since October 2012-- Designed and offered "Cloud Computing (http://faculty.pucit.edu.pk/fawaz/cs595/index.html)" course to MPhil/PhD program which has been sponsored by AWS educational grant two times in Spring 2013 and Spring 2014 semesters. -- Published 5 conference papers in tier 1 conferences like WoWMoM, CloudComp, Healthcom, and NETAPPS. 1 book chapter by Springer-Verlag publishers and 2 journal papers are currently under review.-- Serving as secretary of PRAC (PhD Research Advisory Committee) at PUCIT which is an advisory committee for research promotion and overall smooth execution of MPhil/PhD program at PUCIT. -- Serving as chairman of MPhil/PhD admission committee at PUCIT. -- Prepared and submitted a research proposal "Cloud-based remote patient health monitoring system using wireless medical sensor devices" to ICT R&D Pakistan. Expected funding is $0.2 Million. -- I have successfully supervised 3 MPhil students' thesis and am currently supervising one PhD student.-- Awarded ICANN Fellowship to attend ICANN meeting in 2015.-- Selected as an Internet Society (ISOC) ambassador to the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) meeting in 2013.-- Received Internet Society (ISOC) fellowship to attend IETF meeting in 2013. -- I have served as a member of the Fulbright Scholarship selection committee in Pakistan for 2009 and 2012.

I was invited by the Virtual University (VU) of Pakistan to design, plan and record a topic-based course on "Routing and Switching" with emphasis on hands-on experience of different networking components such as routers and switches. The course was part of their Associate Degree program. I divided the course into three parts: network fundamentals, routing protocols and concepts, and switching techniques. VU uses free-to-air satellite television broadcasts and the Internet to provide distance learning in Pakistan.

-- Research in wireless adhoc, mesh and sensor networks, Cellular Network, wireless MAC and Network layer routing and channel assignment protocols under Dr. Gergely Zaruba.-- Worked on a Department of Justice (DoJ-NIJ) funded project PLR: Mesh Networked, Two-Way Personnel Locator Radios and Relays. The main focus of the research was to develop a mesh network based solution to identify and locate strategic personnel within a secure area such as a police precinct. My responsibilities were to design a routing algorithm for timely delivery of the location information of a number of individuals as they move about in an established area.

Worked with Zartash Afzal Uzmi on “Siemens-LUMS Resilient Multilayer Networks Project”. The project was a joint research collaboration of Siemens (Germany) and LUMS (Pakistan). The main focus of the research was to evaluate the performance of GMPLS controlled Ethernet Label Switching (GELS) as a control plane for metro and core networks consisting of point-to-point Ethernet links.

-- Part of the team to develop a “Financial Reporting System” of New York Times (NYT), using Microsoft .NET technologies (ASP.NET, VB.NET). For reporting we used Crystal Reports8 and SQL Server as an RDBMS. The web application provided online Invoice Tracking facility and Budgeting information for both the NYT and its Printing Sites.-- Part of the team to develop a “Print Order Manager” application for New York Times (NYT) for managing the ordering information of Print Sites of NYT. The development language was ASP.NET and VB.NET, Crystal Reports8 was used for reporting and SQL Server as an RDBMS. It was a web based module developed as a part of Production Reporting System of New York Times (NYT).
