I went with my husband to a teacher training college in Northern Rhodesia/Zambia, where I ran the college library and had two children. On returning to Devon, I did part-time teaching and combined this with writing children's books. In 1987 I took voluntary redundancy to write full-time, branching out into adult novels. More recently I have been critiquing manuscripts for a writing consultancy, The Writers' Workshop. I have had 45 novels published.My great love is fantasy, but I have recently been writing crime novels.
