Serves as the Project Director and Principal Investigator for the Georgia Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring (GA-PRAMS) Project, including: hiring, training and supervision of a staff (current size: 5 team members), management of all administrative aspects of the project; coordinating GA-PRAMS among appropriate state programs (e.g., GDPH’s Vital Records, Maternal and Child Health, Epidemiology) and CDC; leading data analysis (in SAS and SUDAAN) and dissemination efforts appropriately targeted to different audiences using GA-PRAMS data; ensuring fidelity to CDC’s PRAMS protocol and completing protocol updates; organizing and leading the GA_PRAMS Steering Committee; obtaining Institutional Review Board (IRB) approvals; preparing and submitting annual cooperative agreement renewal applications (e.g., interim progress reports) and responding to requests for continuation funding; coordinating and overseeing the development of questionnaires; and strategically initiating and building partnerships to maximize the use of Georgia PRAMS data to improve the health of women and infants in Georgia and support other programs and industries involved in the field of maternal and child health.Leads the Oral Health Epidemiology team, including supervision of one Oral Health epidemiologist and data management, analysis and dissemination of Oral Heath data for Georgia, including the Head Start Survey and 3rd Grade Basic Screening Survey results.

• Clean, quality check, and analyze in SAS primary outcome and exposure variable data for the SHOUT MDR TB Study, an observational prospective cohort study of over 200 MDR TB patients in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa• Manage study data in REDCap, a secure web-based application for data capture, and export reports to Excel as needed to clean and finalize dataset for primary objectives analyses• Present data cleaning and analysis updates at team data meetings

Phnom Penh, Cambodia

• Conducted a qualitative and quantitative needs assessment evaluation with a multi-disciplinary team for the Cambodian Children’s Fund’s Community Clinic (CCFCC), including patient needs surveys, medical records abstraction, key informant interviews, and in-depth patient interviews• Wrote a proposal to obtain funding from Emory Global Health Institute (EGHI) for the project and reported results to EGHI• Led the instrument design, creation of the database in REDCap and Microsoft Access, pilot testing, sampling process, data collection, and analysis in Microsoft Excel and SAS software of the results of 120 patient surveys assessing the demographics and health-seeking behaviors of CCFCC’s patient population• Presented key findings to stakeholders at CCFCC and incorporated feedback for further data analysis• Created a 75-page final report of key findings and recommendations

• Developed a system in Microsoft Excel to catalogue variables collected in clinical trials involving HIV and tuberculosis co-infection conducted by the Aids Clinical Trial’s Group (ACTG)• Collaborated with clinic staff on-site in Kisumu, Kenya, to formulate innovative research questions based on the variable catalogue to inform best practices for treatment of HIV and TB co-infection• Co-led a three-day workshop with the topic of writing secondary data analysis proposals for 8-10 members of clinical trials unit research staff in Kisumu, Kenya

• Evaluated the clinic’s current system for identifying and coordinating follow-up care for abnormal cervical cancer screenings and researched best-practices for an effective system• Developed a new tracking system to identify, follow-up with, and ensure care for over 115 abnormal cervical cancer screening results in the past year among over 1,500 female patients served by the clinic• Identified all cases of abnormal cervical cancer screenings in the clinic’s electronic medical record system through electronic reports and entered all cases into the new tracking system for follow up• Collaborated with clinic staff to implement system into the clinic’s natural workflow to enable uptake of the system by clinic staff• Published a white paper to disseminate abnormal screening tracking system methods for use in other health care facilities
