Temporary Contracted Secondary Supply Teacher
CurrentIn my most recent long term role as a Secondary Supply Teacher I successfully provided consistent and reliable cover at an Academy in the south of Cornwall. Initially this booking was for one week, however in recognition of my patience, flexibility, subject enthusiasm and strong class management skills I was asked to remain in the Maths department and assist until the end of the term. I worked collaboratively with staff to plan and deliver foundation and higher GCSE Mathematics and Key Stages 3 & 4 from the national curriculum tracking student progress and attendance. In addition to working within my specialist area with years seven to eleven I have also covered, at very short notice, for lessons in Technology, History, ICT, French and P.E. - consequently, I have developed a flexible, adaptable and inclusive approach towards my classroom practice, as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. I was also responsible for a year nine tutor group until the end of term at a most challenging and transitional time as they moved into their GCSE option groups in year ten.
