Within this role, I was in charge of supplying the UK market with soft cheese products and deli blocks.I have now been trained to take on our Trevarrian site, producing products such as Brie and Camembert. This involves not only replenishment planning, but production and packing planning too.I have had a great opportunity to expand my knowledge on dairy production by visiting different sites, both in the UK and abroad. I've gained an understanding of the work that goes into producing cheese and the issues that we face to complete production across our sites.This role has shown me the importance of communication between different teams and departments, by aiding each other to resolve problems that may affect our service level to the customer.- During the first 6 months, I was trained to cover all cheese sites, proving I am flexible and happy to provide additional support where needed.- I was responsible for successfully creating a working plan for the Christmas period, the busiest period in this food service industry. I partnered with colleagues in Denmark to ensure they were comfortable with the Christmas volumes before finalising.- I have worked hard to reduce our wastage and recognise the implications around cost to the business, taking part in regular departmental meetings to discuss how Arla, as a company compares to other businesses and their waste reduction.- I familiarised myself with the current processes within the team and created new practices to make our ways of working more efficient. I report on and resolve over 100 volume claims a day ensuring that customers remain informed and up to date with their products.As part of my current role I’ve found it essential to pay close attention to a wide variety of detail. I am thorough with all my investigations, often thinking outside of the box to reach a resolution.- Building relationships with Arla employees and our 3rd Party customers and hauliers has helped to ensure our business with them remains consistently strong.- In a fast paced environment, I have quickly developed an understanding of Logistics. This has enabled me to personally design and introduce new processes that aid the company in investigating more claims, in more detail, providing a more in-depth result.- I currently manage and organize all team social events as well as being ‘Barometer Champion’ 2016-2017. This means I have been trusted with ensuring the team is working well and morale is high. Going forward I have been nominated as ‘Reward & Recognition Champion’.- In 2017, I instigated the use of KPIs - never before utilized within the department.
