About Faye Tudor

I am an experienced, proactive and enthusiastic multi-site learning centre manager. In my last role, I managed three centres for Argyll College UHI. With a strong focus on customer service, I provided information, guidance and support to students, and managed, administered and promoted each of the centres, whilst having responsibility for my team of eight. I worked collaboratively with my team in order to achieve results efficiently and effectively. Together, we marketed the broad range of courses offered by the college and UHI, and identified demand for provision that would benefit the local economy. I sat on three committees, managed the FOI requests for the college, and I was the staff representative on the board for Argyll College UHI. I worked hard to engage with and work collaboratively with key stakeholders, including local agencies, businesses and employers, and the high schools in each town where we offered our Skills for Work programme. My past experiences in higher education and retail provide me with a strong background in management, business and teaching. During the course of my PhD, I presented papers at international conferences, organised research seminars, chaired research and conference papers/panels, acted as editor for the department peer-reviewed journal, wrote and published several book/article reviews and have two papers published in edited collections on Renaissance theories of vision and the senses in Early Modern England. I have also taught university seminar groups across third and first year core classes, and 4th year option students, and have written and delivered lectures on a range of subjects. Prior to and throughout this period, I was a manager for GAP and then worked in Apple Retail, progressing from Specialist to Concierge and to the Business Team.
