I am a native English speaker, trained and experienced as an English teacher with a Bachelor in Arts, Bachelors in Education, and a certification as a trainer in Communication skills for Trinity College London examinations. I have been teaching for more than 16 years and my experience spans across schools both in India and abroad. I believe children are unique and talented in their own way and should be handled as such. As teachers, we, along with the parents, need to merely guide/steer the child in the right direction, while providing an environment conducive to this. Children are naturally creative, enthusiastic and inquisitive and this is what we need to nurture in them.I have always enjoyed teaching but have found that a lot of schools in India still go by the rote learning method which is not only claustrophobic and stifling for a child but for the teachers as well. I am yet to find a school which promotes independent learning.Along with teaching I also have a passion for art and craft, journalling, traveling, reading, writing Poetry, theatre, public speaking and most of all, playing with my dogs. Over the past 4 years, I have had the opportunity to share some of these interests with my students through online and offline classes. I love teaching and being with children, while sharing my passion for the English Language.
