I was employed full time at Medivet The Vets which is a veterinary partnership with over 140 practices and continuous growth at a fast pace. Medivet focused on offering the best veterinary facilities and exceptional care to pets. The main goal was to be the nation’s favourite vet by 2020. Whilst working at Medivet I took on a very large task of launching a brand new Medivet website. This involved sourcing, briefing and choosing a digital agency to assist me. Once this stage was complete I then did a detailed website and client analysis, created personas for our target market, considered Medivet’s strategic aims and how the new website would help achieve these, and devised a new site map. The finished website resulted in:• Enhanced customer journey through personalisation; this included a feature whereby you could choose what pet you had - a dog, cat, small furry or multiple, and the website would tailor the experience to that pet owner changing all imagery, advice and offers to be pet specific• Strong use of customer reviews to promote Medivet’s strengths via the public voice; a plugin was used to pull through reviews ensuring the site would always be up to date.• Updated the look and feel of the site to be pet owner centric with fun and cute imagery, helpful advice and articles, insight to heartfelt charity projects and an inclusive sense that our vets always treat customers pets like their own. • Improved the customer journey and made the user interface as clear and helpful as possible utilising the technology available to us – this included geolocate to pull the users closest veterinary practice.• Content throughout the site was search engine optimised and calls to action were clear ultimately increasing traffic and conversion rates at the same time as reducing bounce rates.

I was employed full time as a Marketing Coordinator at Flemings Mayfair Hotel, Suites and Apartments which is a 4* boutique hotel based in the heart of Mayfair. Since October, I have been employed part-time at Body Limits Transition as a marketing executive.My first task when joining the company was the idea generation, planning, co-ordination and implementation of Body Limits Transition’s Grand Opening Day.My responsibilities for the Opening Day were:- Booking and organisation of event activities throughout the day.- Liaising with suppliers for event promotions and product demonstrations.- Responsibility for all event advertising including local press and social media. - Distribution of personalised invites targeted at local running and cycling clubs.- Event layout – red carpet, balloons, ribbon, branded cars, funky triathlon circuit, guest speaker area, leaderboard and podium. - Timetable for professional athlete talks and Q&A sessions.- Social media presence throughout and after the event.My other duties at Body Limits Transition include:- Creating a social media marketing plan to use the latest technology and take advantage of many new social media platforms including Instagram, Vine, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Email. - Creating a loyalty card scheme for our shop café to encourage repeat sales.- Research on local sports clubs and teams to promote our services to.- Increasing social media presence across a number of platforms.- Seasonal social media campaigns including a “12 days of Christmas” Facebook campaign to drive customers to our shop and increase the number on fans to our Facebook page. - Designing various adverts for Body Limits Transition to increase brand awareness.- Working with advertising agencies to create leaflets and help place us in prominent positions in newspapers and magazines.

Orange Lake Resort is a timeshare based in Orlando, Florida, USA. It is a well-established high quality resort which is a neighbour to Walt Disney World. Orange Lake Resort has a customer base of more than 140,000 timeshare owners. I worked at Orange Lake Resort, during the first half of my university placement year, in the role of Activities Co-ordinator. This gave me the opportunity to gain experience working in a foreign country and encounter living in a new culture. It was my responsibility to provide as much fun as possible for our guests and exceed their expectations every day. My job involved implementing activities to a high standard on a daily basis throughout the resort. The activities were arranged on a tight schedule therefore organisation was key. I also enhanced my leadership skills throughout this placement, encouraging and inspiring guests to participate within activities as well as motivating my team. Strong customer service and communication skills were essential as I dealt with guests from around the world on a day to day basis. I learnt to always go the extra mile to make a guests stay beyond their expectations. Sales skills were also important as sales revenue targets were regularly set; I proved my sales skills by achieving sales person of the week three times.
