For the past twenty years I worked doing what I love, as designer, educator and leader. Through many years of experience working in Marketing Communication field, I found the best way to communicate a message to the targeted audience is by telling compelling visual stories and using design as a powerful tool to do so. Currently, I am working with the amazing team of Marketing as Marketing Creative Supervisor at Valley Metro in Phoenix, AZ and feel very fortunate since this position allow me to focus on many areas of my expertise as I continue to do what I love.I joined "Interaction Design Foundation" community in Spring of 2020 and enrolled in their UX/UI courses. I am learning more about the area of User Experience design through many available resources/courses that they are offering. I successfully earned my UX Design certificate and will work toward other certificates like UI Design and Design Thinking as I continue the program with all necessary credits/courses.I have many years of experience in print and digital design, brand identity system management as well as directing and leading areas of videography, photography and graphic design. As part of my leadership role, I have directed many marketing, promotional and brand awareness campaign with successful execution and outcomes. I earned a leadership certificated after successfully completing a two semester program offered through “President’s Leadership Academy” at Southern Utah University.I have extensive experience working with all Adobe Creative Cloud softwares and completed many projects from concept to final product successfully by following a carefully and detailed crafted plan. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design and a Master of Arts degree in Professional Communication from Southern Utah University.I taught graphic design courses as an adjunct faculty at Mesa Community College, Grand Canyon University and Southern Utah University online and in person. I always craft a detailed syllabus and a creative plan for my classes to cover design fundamentals and principles through practical and hands-on experiences in class. I coach students to conceptualize, think visually and critically for effective visual storytelling. I have a strong commitment to student success and preparing them for the competitive job market.I love what I do and always look forward to the up coming projects!
