• Provide an informed, professional and efficient HR service• Provide advice and support regarding discipline, bullying, grievance, change management and other employee relation issues• Coach and advise managers on aspects of people management, such as performance, recruitment, employment law, change and attendance• Ensure HR policies are up to date and reflect best practice and legislation• Recruit and assess staff in line with best practice• Maintain, produce and evaluate HR data to inform decision making, using HR software or MS office packages• Lead and take ownership of specific HR-related projects• Carry out operational HR tasks, reviewing and improving processes where appropriate• Carry out HR administration

• Provide administrative support to a busy HR function • Recruitment and Selection- advertise vacancies, co-ordinate interview and selection programmes, represent HR on the interview panel, prepare contracts of employment and induction packs• Equal Opportunities and Diversity- Collate and monitor equal opportunities information and statistics, promote equality and diversity and ensure compliance with policies and procedures• Payroll- responsible for payroll related administration including changes and variations to pay and the implementation of pay awards• Absence Monitoring- monitor absence levels, identify trends and patterns and take appropriate action, enter and maintain accurate absence records for employees on the in-house HR system• Minutes- act as note taker and minute meetings when required• Criminal Record Bureau Checks- act as counter signatory and process CRB applications• Reception- deputise for reception staff when required
