John is a proven international CEO with extensive US, European, Middle East, India and Far East experience. He is a principled based loyal person who gives his spare time for the support of the RAF Family. He is a graduate of The Sunderland Business School and began his working life in Sept 1990 in the ERP Software Industry, leading solution sales and programme management in an IBM Software house. Through this work John built up knowledge of the Apparel, Manufacturing, Distribution, Health sectors in Japan, Singapore, the US (where he worked for 2 years) and Europe. At the age of 30 John was appointed as a General Manager of a European division. He then spent time in the IT security sector before founding his own advisory firm 18 years ago. John was appointed an MBE in 2004 by Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Since 2004 his business has developed over 60,000 people and he is now highly experienced in Retail, Fire, Construction, Aerospace, Financial Services and the Professional Services sectors. Their programmes focus on Purpose led cultures, Leadership, Executive Coaching & Resilience. Typical engagements are with £500m to £5bn revenue companies. He also has two advisory roles where he brings his depth of experience to bear for two technology companies based in the US and the UK. They also are very honoured to support the UK Fire & Rescue Services. John is deeply networked at CEO levels across many industries and with senior Officers in Defence. John is also a writer and a speaker on various podcasts and BBC Radio 5 live.Philanthropy In 1999 founded The Junior Leaders, an outstanding 9-month RAF Air Cadet programme for elite 17-year-olds in its 23rd year with over 1,800 graduates.In 2008 John founded The April Fools Club, named after the RAFs formation date of 1st April 1918. The Club now has 185 members, who are 60% civilian, 20% serving Officers and 20% former serving Officers. Members live in the UK, US, BVI, Hong Kong. In 2015 they travelled 8,000 miles and completed the 45 Cdo Yomp across the Falkland Islands to raise £265,000 for the RAF Benevolent Fund. In May 2018, John joined 40 members and cycled 365 miles from RAF Scampton to The Mohne Dam in Germany to raise £405,000. They are the first group ever to win the prestigious RAF Benevolent Fund Fundraising Team of the Year, twice in 2015 and 2018, followed by the Special Achievement Award in 2022. In May 2022 he led 34 business members of the April Fools Club to Washington DC & Indianapolis.
