I founded Catnip Comms in October 2020. Catnip Comms was born out of a love of all things social, a passion for using digital to do good in the world, and the drive to put the social back into social media. Our goal is to create social media strategies and content that not only appeals to your audience, but makes them want to come back for more, time and time again.

Communications lead for the podcast: Tech for Good Live. I have been heavily involved with the podcast for a number of years, from hosting and guest starring on multiple episodes, speaking at events and head up the podcast's communication efforts.

After moving back from the US I had the chance to continue working with the great team over at M+R on a select number of social media clients covering a variety of causes.

Senior member of M+R's social media team focused on leading cutting edge strategies and campaigns for a wide range of nonprofits. Role includes:- Production and implementation of social media strategies for leading nonprofits, including integration with larger multi-channel projects- Online conversation mapping and insight driven content strategy creation- Influencer research and outreach on core and emerging social platforms- Overseeing account direction and management, social channel management, content production and reporting- Staying ahead of the curve in terms of the latest social, marketing and digital trends- Business development Causes supported so far during my time at M+R: reproductive rights, gender equality, animal welfare, ocean conservation, nuclear threat reduction, freedom of the press etc.

Brooke is a global animal welfare charity, with a presence in the US, dedicated to improving the lives of working horses, donkeys and mules and the people who depend on them. Brooke operates on a global scale across 11 countries.I was hired as the first social media lead for Brooke with a remit to overhaul and revolutionize their global social media presence and position them as an industry leader. I created and implemented Brooke's first social media strategy, with a focus on raising vital income, audience numbers and social media engagement levels. For example, Brooke now annually generates a large income stream via Facebook alone and the online community engagement was one of the highest of all the equine nonprofits in the UK.In addition to improving Brooke's organic social media, I also completely revamped their paid social advertising to ensure that any of the fundraising teams who were running paid advertising campaigns were receiving the highest levels of ROI possible. Brooke's social media presence is now widely recognized as a leader in the nonprofit sector and my social campaigns gained media coverage in the third sector press. I was also heavily involved in Brooke's influencer program working with celebrities such as Charlotte Dujardin.My skills as an exceptional project manager were also called upon during my time at Brooke. In 2018 a large part of my was dedicated to leading Brooke’s first integrated campaign #EveryHorseRememberedhttps://www.thebrooke.org/everyhorse. This involved coordinating multiple teams in digital, social, fundraising, print, and PR. #EveryHorseRemembered was a huge success and raised $1.3 million in 12 months.I also grew the social media team during my time at the organization and provided high levels of training to the Social Media Officer who was my direct report. Due to my leadership skills, ability to motivate others and dedication to the cause I was nominated by my peers to receive an Outstanding Performance Award.

Hired to take over the social media presence for national brand webuyanycar.com on a consultant basis. I overhauled the social media strategy, paid social media advertising and online content creation with a focus on putting the consumer first and increasing brand awareness and loyalty. A key part of my role during my consultancy with the company was to digitally launch webuyanycar.com's new TV advertising campaign and work with other members of the Marketing Department to establish a digital customer journey for this.

As well as managing the online communities and producing organic content for a wide range of clients, I also ran the agency's paid social media offering. In addition to my social media duties, I also displayed excellent interpersonal skills as I was dealing with clients on a day to day basis and was the go to person for all social media queries.

This included outlining the services the agency would offer as well as winning new clients.We quickly had a roster of new social media clients and it was my job to manage all aspects of the agency's social media services from social strategy, community management, content creation and paid advertising. I was also heavily involved in the running of the agency on a day to day basis, often being the first point of contact for new and existing clients and suppliers.

Hired as part of the communications team for international animal rights organization Cruelty Free International. My varied role consisted of producing copy for the nonprofits online and offline channels such as email newsletters, supporter publications, news articles and blogs. Due to my previous social media and digital experience I quickly became the in-house digital expert and took Cruelty Free International's social media presence to the next level via organic and paid content. A key part of my role during my time at the organization was as part of the core team who oversaw a re-brand of the organization (previously known as the British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection). This included working on a global campaign with the leading high street retailer The Body Shop to promote beauty products free from animal testing.
