Preparing an urban regeneration framework plan for a historic city in the kingdom of Bahrain, including facilitating a series of stakeholder engagements with local authorities and governmental bodies.

Managing a technical team in implementing urban rejuvenation programme within the UNESCO World Heritage Site, which includes conservation projects, public realm improvements and public participation programme on cultural assets. The projects include backlanes upgrading works within George Town, development of North Seafront Masterplan, conservation of Syed Al-Attas Mansion and Public Archaeological Programme at Fort Cornwallis. My key responsibilities consist of:- Support the development and implementation of urban regeneration projects and ensuring alignment with George Town Special Area Plan and the UNESCO's Outstanding Universal Values- Support the planning and implementation of Think City projects and programmes through partnership with Aga Khan Trust for Culture (AKTC) and UNESCO- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, NGOs, local council and State government to ensure alignment in the vision and objectives of each project - Under the direction of the Programme Director, support colleagues working closely with the local council, NGOs, technical consultants, stakeholders other local organisations through community engagements and visioning workshops- Prepare the Development Framework and Area Plan for the East Waterfront Precinct and a vibrant market hub within the historic city - Monitor regional initiatives and best practice in urban renaissance to keep Think City’s thinking and work abreast of latest developments
