Fatou B. Barry is a strategist, equity advocate, and community builder with over a decade of experience in communications and brand development. Her specialty lies in supporting mission-consistent brands to chart a better path forward through impactful storytelling, strategic messaging, and communication design. Fatou’s expertise has been tapped by a plethora of global brands including GoPuff, Samsung, WeWork, and more. Community has always been integral to Fatou’s work, she is the founder of PR Girl Manifesto, a nonprofit and industry-leading platform comprising over 40,000 PR & Marketing professionals globally. PRGM works to re-imagine the communications industry while supporting its constituents through access to resources, fellowship, and mentorship.Barry is also the co-founder of Hold The Press, a grassroots initiative that calls for action, accountability, and transparency in the Public Relations industry for Black people. She currently serves as a Board Member of the Diversity Action Alliance and Cyber Collective. Her work, fueled by a deep desire to bridge equity gaps for traditionally underserved talent focuses on generating opportunities to grow and amplify talent that is typically overlooked.
