As a distinguished author, academician, and media expert, I leverage my four decades of experience to promote future-ready education. Passionate about social causes and new media technology, I've led major initiatives that nurture the workforce through education 4.0, the internet, and gamification. I've been instrumental in establishing media departments, institutions, and universities across the country, shaping policy, driving reskilling efforts, and fostering societal change through art, advocacy, and multimedia. I have worked in the nascent field of political visual communication contributing immensely to the discipline, with the path-breaking book “Game of Votes: Visual Media Politics and Elections in the Digital Era” published by SAGE, one of the most important works in the current body of literature in visual communication & campaign design.I have been working on enhancing India’s influence in new media technology and visual arts. I put India and Asia, for the first time, on the global map in photography at Cannes in 2009. Also won three Asia Awards for India in 2009, 2010 & 2011. Further, as a steering committee member at Gannat, France, contributed to setting up the first international conference series on intangible cultural heritage supported by UNESCO. I produced the 50-year commemorative audio-visual for UNICEF India and also for WHO SEAR for both their main commemorative Golden Jubilee events, chosen from a global pool of experts. serve on the IBC jury in Amsterdam, the world's largest content, technology, and broadcasting convention. served as a jury member for the design concept presentation for the India Pavilion, at the World Expo 2020 Dubai.I was one of the first experts to propose and design a course for Swayam MOOCS & produced more than 35 Swamym MOOCs Modules, several for Swayam Prabha DTH Channel and as a principal investigator, also designed and ran five, 4-credit courses on Swayam MOOCs.I have served as a Member of the multi-stakeholder advisory group of India—Internet Governance initiative. I have worked on expanding the national and cybersecurity dialogue to include the end-user perspective, especially from marginalized communities, minorities and underrepresented stakeholder groups putting public interest at the core of policy formulation.I serve on the editorial board of the Journal of Scientific Temper (CSIR), Government of India, and Elsevier’s South Asian Journal of Law, Policy and Social Research in collaboration with the Susan B. Anthony Center of the University of Rochester.
