François Bugingo is an expert in international relations, influential public relations and development of emerging markets. In 2016, François joined Seedz Business Transformation (legal name Espace Rh), a Montreal based boutique company offering to its clients innovative solutions for successful organizational change management and business transformation, as vice-president and chief strategist officer. Drawing on an extensive network, field knowledge acquired over 25 years of practice and his unique expertise in inter-cultural communications, he assists various clients in their international expansion. He is also responsible for the international deployment of Seedz's internal programs and projects, such as managers training, business process optimization and impactful communication strategies. François Bugingo also leads the SEEDZ program to support leadership and advise on communication strategies to attract investors. Prior to working in private sector, François was a media expert and a leading human rights activist.He has invested more than 15 years in Reporters sans frontières, one of the world’s most important international organization in the defence of freedom of speech. Occupying several important positions, from bureau chief of the Rwanda chapter to being elected twice as international vice-president of the organization.As a prominent journalist of radio and television, he has had the privilege of covering most of the great conflicts of the 20th century. Analyst and speaker, he has often been invited by universities, international organizations, media organizations and even governments to decode and explain international events as they unfolded.As a host, François Bugingo has been at the helm of several televised and radio broadcasts which were met with popular and critical success across Canada. He has also written and published several books on a variety of topics.As a consultant, he has taken part in several missions aimed at training new journalists and other media professionals and was solicited by organizations such as UNESCO, Universalia, Search For a Common Ground, Panos Paris, Cartoonists Rights Network and Media and Democracy in an effort to evaluate their media support programs in countries with embryonic democracies.François Bugingo studied Law at the University of Bujumbura in Burundi before turning towards journalism. He has visited over 150 countries as a journalist, media consultant, analyst and as a representative of organizations championing human rights.
