Summary: Designing, testing, and integrating electronic sub-systems for autonomous vehicles, their sensors, and hardware to enable the simulation ecosystem around autonomous driving.Some projects below:Project 1:I led a project to characterize inertial measurement units (IMU) from different vendors, and evaluate their performance in our vehicles. I designed the PCB test platform, wrote firmware to read out data from the IMU's, put together an evaluation plan with a multidisciplinary group of experts, conducted experiments to measure the IMU performances, and gave a company-wide talk on the results. The conclusion of this project directly resulted in the IMUs that were selected for our next-generation vehicle architecture.Project 2:I led the EE design work on a high-speed (GHz+) digital board for advanced vehicle sensor hardware-in-loop testing. I collaborated with FPGA and software engineers to put together a focused requirements doc targeted towards a minimum viable product, and I designed the schematic and layout of the board. My design efforts led to the full bring up and complete validation of the board and the FPGA design in only a week, which is significant as it was the very first version of a complex and completely new prototype platform. The conclusion of this project resulted in the completion of the hardware backbone of our next-generation sensor data playback and simulation system.Project 3:I led the firmware engineering efforts for a power distribution platform being designed and built in-house, for which I also led the requirement discovery process by conducting interviews of key stakeholders.Project 4:I led a team of 7 engineers in sensor bring-up and verification efforts for vehicle build. My responsibilities include managing day-to-day testing schedules and roadmaps, resolving build issues, and delivering daily technical debrief summaries to program management and leaders.
