  • Saint-Venant Hydraulics Laboratory
    R&D Researcher
    Saint-Venant Hydraulics Laboratory Oct 2012 - Sep 2015
    Chatou (France)
For 3 years, as part of a PhD thesis of the "Ecole des Ponts ParisTech" (ENPC), I worked at the Saint-Venant Hydraulics Laboratory of EDF R&D at Chatou (Ile de France) on the ANR MONACOREV project in partnership with Hydrocean and Ecole Centrale Nantes. The goal of this work was to propose a set of new methodologies to model wave interactions between several waves energy converters (WEC) taking into account the effects of the bathymetry, and to model the impact of these WECs farms on the wave field in a large area (> 10km). This work includes experimental tasks as part of the WECwakes campaign of the Hydralab IV European program at the DHI (Danish Hydraulic Institute). They consisted of measuring the park effects for different configurations of WEC farms (up to 25 WECs).

    Nantes (France)
I worked during 6 months at Sirehna (DCNS/Naval Group) to develop a numerical model using Matlab-Simulink and Flowmaster to simulate the hydraulic chain of transformation of the energy of a wave energy converter (like CETO). This model simulate the behavior of the energy transformation chain as a function of the sea state, and optimize the power take off of the WEC (Wave Energy Converter) according to it.
