After EPG acquired doDOC Corp., I was responsible for the transition of doDOC into the corporate structure of EPG.

I was the co-founder and CEO of doDOC Corp., a software company based in Boston and Portugal, focused on real-time controlled collaboration for scientific documents. doDOC raised more than $3M and was acquired in February 2021 by EPG in a cash-only transaction.doDOC enables several people to work in the same document at the same time. Teams can plan, draft, edit, review and approve documents more than 70% faster. With well-governed workflows and granular permissions down to the paragraph-level, obtaining the full audit-trail of the document.

I was responsible for overall management and coordination of the design and implementation of an Industry program that attracts national and international industrial cooperation, membership and funds for MIT and the MIT Portugal Program. I worked closely with the Faculty Director of I & E, faculty leads, MPP staff and participants of MIT Portugal Program at MIT and in Portugal to develop and communicate periodic program progress reports; sustain a culture of cooperation and transparency in operations; maintain strong working relationships within the MPP Coordination Office in Lisbon, MIT innovation ecosystem and with the MPP faculty in Portugal and MIT; facilitate all communication concerning the Industry Program, at MIT and in Portugal, with Program prospects and members.

I worked as a Research Analyst for the Engineering Systems Division at MIT, using data collected in different institutions to optimize tasks such as patient transportation, rates of medical equipment malfunctioning and dead times, and strategies to target the market with new academic developments.

doDOC was selected into the competitive Techstars Boston accelerator. Launched by Carlos Boto PhD '15, Federico Cismondi PhD '12, and Paulo Melo PhD '14, doDOC helps enterprises import and share highly complex documents with its Web platform. The Coimbra-and Boston-based startup is the first Portuguese startup to win a spot in Techstars.doDOC was selected to Techstars after an exhaustively competitive application process, which left Techstars administrators impressed. “We are extremely impressed with the quality of the projects being developed in Portugal," said Semyon Dukach, managing director of Techstars Boston. "Our investment in doDOC reflects our intensified efforts to identify and support the next generation of technology ventures wherever they are in the world, adding them to our track record of scalable successful businesses."doDOC is focusing on pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, hospitals, and universities. From August 2012 until July 2013 I worked as a Consultant Coordinator for Sidra Medical and Research Center in Qatar, where I participated in the definition of technical features of the systems to be in place at the institution, as well as performing market analyses of different vendors that will provide solutions to Sidra, assessing a multiplicity of features in order to meet internal requirements as well as federal regulations.During this period, I also achieved the development of use cases for the Research Domain that will help in discovering bottlenecks in the research process as well as to define KPIs to evaluate productivity and performance.

During 2010-2012, Dr. Federico Cismondi also held the prestigious Harvard Fellowship with the Division of Clinical Informatics at the Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at BIDMC in Boston. He took part in didactic lectures, formal Harvard MD/MBA courses participation, seminars and meetings with senior informaticians and CIOs on topics related to Health Information Technology. He also conducted scientific research investigations into health information exchange, electronic health and personal health records.

I worked at Nuclear Medicine School Foundation as a Medical Physicist in the Nuclear Medicine Department and as a Cyclotron Operator in the Cyclotron and Radiopharmacy Department.
