Direct report to Capital Markets Manager. I was in charge of leading a team of eight people and coordinated Ecopetrol’s subsidiaries treasuries in all issues related to liquidity investments in Colombian pesos and US dollars. • Structured investment strategies focused on maximizing the yield of Ecopetrol’s portfolio of USD 4,5 billion, through an active management on public, corporate and supranational fixed income markets.•Oversaw Ecopetrol’s cash flow forecasts and its sensibility to market volatility in order to ensure the necessary cash to support the capex or to raise early funding alerts. From this forecasts I also directed the monetization tactic of the Company.•Established the guidelines to assess the optimum cash position for all Ecopetrol Group, setting free at least USD 100 million of working capital.•Managed the subsidiary in charge of mobilizing the USD liquidity surpluses within Ecopetrol Group, leading at the same time a multitask team that set the current capital structure of Reficar.•Supervised the external managers contracts that supports Ecopetrol’s pension liabilities of USD 4 billion.

Direct report to local Treasurer and International Banking Group in Canada. I was part of the leading team accountable for the merger between Scotiabank Colombia and Colpatria Bank treasuries. As a result of my high performance and excellent results, I was put in charge of the banking book investment portfolio and the management of the Bank’s interest rate exposure. • Managed the banking book investment portfolio of USD 500 million, exceeding consistently the forecasted revenues since 2013. • Developed quantitative models that allow the Bank to manage the interest rate risk exposure originated on its assets and liabilities gaps.• Structured hedge accounting strategies, through interest rate swaps, in order to diminish the interest rate risk of a balance of USD 6,5 billion.

Direct report to local Investment Vice-President. I achieved an overall management of the Bank’s treasury, which involved the successful migration to the strategic guidelines of Scotiabank. • Actively managed the banking book portfolio of USD 100 million, with a mid-term investment profile, continuously achieving a high alpha for the portfolio and giving the treasury a significant role on the Bank’s total revenue.• Managed the liquidity gap of the Bank, planning with the Vice-President the strategy to follow on both sides of the balance sheet.• Contributed to the team that established the Funds Transfer Pricing – FTP policy as a dynamic member, which permitted the reporting group to have the most reliable information to measure the performance of each department of the Bank.

Direct report to Capital Markets Head. I was part of the leading team in Colombia that handled the Bank’s operation during the 2008 financial crisis, which impacted the Head Office significantly.• Executed short and mid-term liquidity strategy of the Bank in order to fund an operation worth USD 250 million.• Managed a trading position up to USD 65 million on the front-end of the local government yield curve, while being accountable for quoting this securities in the market makers program and providing competitive pricing to the sales desk.

Direct report to Treasurer. I was part of the team that led the Fund’s migration to an active investment model in Colombian Pesos and an initial indexing model in US Dollars. This program was similar to the one followed by the Central Bank with its external managers. • Actively managed different portfolios of local government debt through neutral duration and long/short trades, in order to produce alpha (a yield higher than the one produced by a benchmark portfolio).• The USD dollar portfolio had the objective to track the Merryl Lynch 1-3Y index with a minimum tracking error. The portfolio was worth USD 1 billion.• Oversaw and managed portfolios that guaranteed the payment of bonds issued by Fogafin in 1999 with an outstanding amount of USD 500 million.

• Issued credit ratings for banks, trusts and brokerage firms, through a CAMEL analysis focused on identifying relevant variables that might threaten the future creditworthiness of the firms. This process ended by releasing a technical report about the evolution of the critical variables found on the rating process.• Supported a group of junior analysts along their rating issuing process.
