I was assigned to N’Komati Anthracite to help with ramping up the production of the process plant. Scope of work includes:• Developing a mass balance to simulate the plant• Working on a process improvement project to increase the capacity and efficiency of the crushing circuit and water reclamation circuit• Doing a technical evaluation of the DMS and Thickening circuits to identify possible inefficiencies and making recommendations to rectify• Working shifts to gain experience in managing people and making recommendations to keep production goingThrough these tasks I have gained knowledge on the following equipment:• Jaw crushers• Double roll crushers• Classification screens• Feed preparation screens• Drain and rinse screens• Dense medium cyclones• Hydro cyclones• Spirals• Dewatering screens• Thickeners• Filter Presses
