Avid is a wholly owned subsidiary of Peregrine Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (PPHM). Avid manufactures antibodies and therapeutic proteins for clients in the US and Europe and manufactures the API for a commercial product on the market in the US. While also responsible for business development for the parent company I oversaw the sales and marketing efforts of Avid, growing sales from $2 million to $11 million annually.

Participated in negotiating the first copromotion agreement for a major product in the industry. Zantac grew to become the best selling drug in the world and held that status for several years as a result of the massive combined marketing effort. Closed Glaxo's then-largest outlicensing transaction, for which I received a substantial bonus and corporate recognition. This was a difficult deal to find a suitable partner and required tenacity to get that first offer and then to negotiate the transaction.
