Throughout his career, Fernando Amaro has gained valuable expertise as a seasoned executive and entrepreneur. He is passionate about using his knowledge to rapidly and profitability scale companies to reach their full potential. In previous roles, Fernando realized his passion for supporting CEOs and executive teams throughout challenges and seeking opportunities for growth amidst downturns. These roles include leadership positions in private companies and not-for-profit boards, providing invaluable experience in general management, sales, marketing, and operations that has enabled Fernando to profitably grow businesses from a few million to over $300M in revenue.Thanks to his diverse experience in the private and public sectors, Fernando has a well-rounded understanding of what it takes to build and grow successful businesses. Fernando also served on the board of his family's business, which owns franchise restaurants, real estate, food and motorcycle distribution from 2014 to 2020. In this role, he enjoyed participating in benchmarking activities with other families to develop a structure and governance that would maintain family unity and allow the company to flourish by attracting and retaining great talent.With this valuable skill set in his repertoire, Fernando founded AIM Associates Capital Group ("AIMACG") in 2020 to develop a world-class private equity, direct investment vehicle on behalf of his family and 15 other families who are LPs. AIMACG provides growth capital and expertise to leading companies in the Industrial, Senior Care, Utilities, and Quick Service Restaurant Industries. In this venture, Fernando works with founders to establish a strategy to grow, transition, and exit their business. He especially enjoys working with founders who have a long-term horizon to exit and are eager to capture the growth ahead of them.Fernando's philanthropic interests are focused on providing the opportunity for better education to children and work experience to college students. He currently sits on the board and supports Young Audiences Arts for Learning. Together with his wife Amalia and two children, Fernando also supports Champions Empowering Champions, Achieve Miami, and other organizations which are aligned to their family's mission of creating breakthrough opportunities for lower-income people to growth their wealth and become financially independent. Fernando's unique perspective and experience allows him to be a powerful advocate for change; he is committed to using his talents and resources to make a difference in the lives of others.
