Aanii! I am a Native American (Little Traverse Bay Band of Odawa Indians) transdisciplinary artist interested in immersive and interactive digital art as an academic, artist, storyteller, researcher, and designer. Immersive and interactive media, STEM education through the arts (STEAM), Indigenous representation and perspectives in art and archeology, Sustainability, and the empowering of women in science and technology are a few of my passions. I live at the cross sections of Art, Culture, and Technology and focus on projects that nurture humanity as an Indigenous Futurist. In my culture we have the seven generations theory, that every decision one makes you should consider how that is going to effect the next seven generations to come. I believe that we are in a very exciting time within my fields of interest to make great change. In my free time I like to be near water and trees and to enjoy art wherever I may be (films, galleries, performances, etc.)...combine travel/nature/art and that's my happy place.
