Sales of food safety certification and training programs

The National Registry of Food Safety Professionals (a division of Environmental Health Testing) is the second largest exam provider in the country in the retail and corporate food industry. Our certification programs ensure that managers in restaurant, hotel, and grocery chains understand and practice safe food handling in order to prevent food-borne illness in consumers.

I managed nearly 100 independent contractor facilitators and instructional designers, providing coaching and development, orchestrating training events, and ensuring two-way communication and alignment with Wilson Learning Corporation.

I worked with clients and designers to customize assessment and training interventions to make them more applicable to each company's business issues. I worked with a huge variety of Fortune 500 companies, often going on-site to observe work processes and interview employees. Attention to detail from initial contract signing to completion of project helped me succeed in this position.

I sold Disney Institute business programs (The Disney Approach to People Management, Leadership, Customer Loyalty, Creativity, etc.) to corporations bringing groups to one of the on-site resorts. Responsibilities included working closely with the Marketing Department, attending promotional events, and selling add-on team-building and theme park special events. Target markets included pharmaceutical, insurance, and food and beverage industries.
