LanammeUCR is the top civil engineering laboratory in Central America and one of the best in the Latin American region. Among many civil engineering disciplines, LanammeUCR is known for its leading research in areas related to pavement materials, transportation and road safety analysis, structural testing, and soil analysis.During my time at the USVT, I worked on major high-profile transportation studies, such as the road safety assessments for the national routes No. 1 (Cañas - Liberia), No. 27 (San Jose - Caldera), and No. 4 (Bajos de Chilamate - Vuelta de Kooper), and the travel demand forecasting for the National Route No.4. In addition, I also worked in the newly formed Traffic Paint Laboratory and helped to draft new national policies and regulations for traffic paint and motorcycle helmets.
