During my doctoral and postdoctoral time I led research projects from conceptualization to experimental design and excecution. I managed several successful international collaborations which expanded my repetoire of technical and interpersonal skills, and gave me valuable perspective on the global scientific communitee. I supervised and mentored junior colleagues, both technically and scientifically. Meeting deadlines, solving problems and progessing multiple projects was my daily routine. I worked side-by-side with technicians, engineers, and research directors, gaining an appreciation for respect, team work, and how a lab is run.

The main finding of the project proposes a tyrosine phosphorylation (PY)-based regulation of RtcB activity and the subsequent control of cell fate. Lastly, the discoveries made in this project could help better understanding how ER stress signaling contributes to the development of diseases such as cancer (e.g. Glioblastoma Multiforme). -
