More information at: http://www.getty.edu/conservation/our_projects/field_projects/seismic/implementation.htmlResponsibilities: organization and participation in a peer review meeting; management of two workshops in Peru (for Architects, Engineers and Masons working with the Ministry of Culture in Peru on historic building) on underpinning, buttresses corner keys and roof structure/collar beam, as seismic retrofitting techniques for earthen structures ; bibliography research on stabilized adobe; actively involved in publications on numerical modelling and testing of earthen structures; development of demonstrations on non-destructive testing and on the characterization of different typologies of of historic mortars.

Projects: - Consultant for the Getty Seismic Retrofitting Project. More information at: http://www.getty.edu/conservation/our_projects/field_projects/seismic/implementation.html - Assessment of the stability of the towers of the Convent of Mafra, Portugal - Structural assessment of the Presidential palace (National Palace of Belém), Lisbon Responsibilities: visual inspection and geometric survey, testing campaign (single and double flat-jack, sonic, core extraction, resistograph, pylodin, compressive test on the cores, identification of the timber spices, thermocamera, boroscopic camera, georadar, dynamic identification), damage identification, calibration of the FE model, non-linear analysis non-linear analysis, design and implementation of retrofitting solutions.

Responsibilities: conducted surveys of existing buildings, identified damage and designed remedial measures. Assisted in the cost estimate and price list for the project.
