As the Founder and actual President of Universidad del Medio Ambiente (UMA), Federico Llamas has been one of the driving forces behind the creation and development of the first university in Latin America entirely dedicated and focused on sustainability. He has a Master of Arts in Environmental Studies from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management from Universidad Iberoamericana.Federico's mission is to provide a radically innovative and transformative educational model that equips students with the knowledge, skills, and values to address the socio-environmental challenges of the 21st century. UMA has grown to offer master's degrees, specialties, bachelor's degree, high school, and dozens of workshops and diplomas.Federico currently focuses on the analysis and proposals for systemic change that contribute to the sustainability of human and planetary well-being. As a consultant in sustainability and regeneration, he has participated in dozens of socio-environmental projects with government, private initiative and civil society. His career has led him to receive recognitions such as the Holcim Award, TED Speaker, Quorum Award and Win-Win Award and Latin American Quality Awards.
