I am an Italian conceptual artist known for my critiques of modern society. I create paintings that can be viewed with red and blue glasses, reminiscent of the 3D movies from the 1950s. My intention is to demonstrate how artists can surpass computer technology through painting and intellect. My concept revolves around the idea of "Without Truth" - authentic artistic works that simulate 3D visions without the use of computers, relying solely on my creative drawing techniques and color manipulation.Being the son of an artist, I had the opportunity to spend time with Andy Warhol in New York, often accompanying my father to the Factory. Despite my young age, I silently watched the screening and found myself deeply affected by it. I began appropriating writings detached from walls and images lacking critical concepts, like a metropolitan safari around the block of 860 Broadway, the former headquarters of the Factory. Upon returning to Milan, I enrolled in an art high school and became aware of social disparities. Under the name 'Pongo,' I positioned myself as an innovator in Italy, following the footsteps of American artists such as Keith Haring and Jean Michel Basquiat. As an insatiable image processor, I forged relationships with renowned New York art collectives TNB and TAT, which were already active in the 1970s and considered pioneers of street art. I drew inspiration from my family's artistic lineage, my grandmother was a futurist and realist painter, while my father, an artist and director, embraced the Fluxus movement, aiming to merge art and communication in the spirit of historical avant-garde. Alongside my father, I encountered influential figures such as Karol Wojtyla and Mikhail Gorbachev, as well as directors like Buñuel and Fellini, and art historians including Pierre Restany, Achille Bonito Oliva, and Gillo Dorfles. Dorfles, a prominent art historian, wrote about me, stating, "he is the artist who scratches the future to affirm that there will be a future, revealing the extreme effects caused to our planet by the obtuseness of governments worldwide."Drawing from these diverse experiences, and inspired by my father's exhibition titled 'Medialism,' curated by Gabriele Perretta alongside Maurizio Cattelan and other artists at the Flash Art Museum, I realized that I couldn't halt my artistic exploration. I foresaw a future where 'media' would eventually be consumed by 'smart' technology, relegating human centrality. Through my 3D paintings, devoid of computer manipulation, I pioneer a unique and original style within the realm of 3D art.
