P4F aims to catalyse investment models through which the private sector, public sector and local communities can achieve improved returns from sustainable land and forest use. My main role is that of a Project Officer, whereby I identify and develop new projects and act as the main point of contact between the P4F East Africa Programme and our project partners on the ground. I led the expansion of our Regional portfolio into Ethiopia, Uganda and Madagascar, while managing two existing initiatives in Kenya and Tanzania.Throughout my team within P4F East Africa, I have at some point been responsible for the day-to-day management of each project across our regional portfolio. Besides establishing a weekly brainstorming session to identify, assess and mitigate emerging risks across our regional portfolio, I also led our efforts to leverage opportunities for greater cross-regional knowledge transfer and coordination with the broader P4F team.
