I managed as CEO two regional branches of DORECA national network, located in Umbria and Tuscany (11 mil € of total sales). Activities included: wholesaling, buying and reselling F&B products to our on-trade customers (1500 outlets served, such as bars, pubs, pizzerias, restaurants, etc.), managing the 4 warehouses located throughout the territory, the level of service (logistics), credit, product pricing, sales promotions, mixed sales networks (24 people including employees and agents) and other 21 staff people in back-office.In Umbria (UMBRIA ltd) I steered the business recovery from losses in 2011 (EBITDA: + € 250K against 2010), and projected it into the green with a 2012 forecasted result of + € 100k of EBITDA, reported an increase of 23% of turnover (best affiliate network in the year), with 22 consecutive months of positive growth, fostering an excellent business climate and high cohesion among the salesmen. These results have been produced increasing sales network with new agents, growing gross margin, optimizing inventory, decreasing fixed costs due to organizational slimming, building salesmen loyalty and leveraging the marketing programs provided by Doreca headquarter.In Tuscany (CIVAB ltd) I have halved previous losses in just one year (ebitda + €600K, 2011vs2010), re-organizing the logistics through a complete outsourcing, streamlining the business, and gaining 2 pts of gross margin on previous year without losing sales.Finally I laid the foundations of the creation of a new company (Doreca Centro srl), through the integration of Umbria ltd e Civab srl into a single pluri-regional entity, with common vision and the same way of doing things, using one’s best practice in the other.

I ran a portfolio of 3 premium brands: Nastro Azzurro, Pilsner Urquell and Miller, supported by 4 employees in direct reporting line. Main responsibilities included: portfolio shaping, brand strategy and planning, advertising, sponsorship and consumer activation.While Nastro Azzurro was a domestic brand with domestic strategy, Miller and Pilsner required adjustment to the peculiar Italian market (more demanding) of the marketing international strategy. With my team we have built a prestigious, internationally impactful and effective activity platform (“Salone del Mobile” exhibition in Milan in 2006-2007-2008, “Rome Film Festival” sponsorship in 2007, design and launch of the first webtv for a beer www.cepiugustotv.com, ”Breweries parties” for consumers in Rome, Padova e Bari for the launch of 3 limited edition packs celebrating international success), that allowed us to win “Fangio Cup” in 2007, award for the best marketing team in the world, as well as a lot of "best practice" mentions, recognized at the international level.• For Pilsner, we reached the volume of 20,000 hl in Italy, with a very high pricing, adopting a Public Relation strategy involving italian influential people, and realizing the 1st Pilsner Urquell beer-corner inside Venice Airport (worth another international “best practise” mention).• For Miller we created an innovative marketing activity based on unconventional tactics (i.e. Flash Mob, 2006), and after that prepared a plan to transfer brand’s distribution for the Italian Market to a specialized wholesaler, as we were re-focusing our efforts on main brands.
