I am currently leading the Spanish National 5G Observatory initiative.Most of my career has taken place in start-ups, notably in Semiconductors, but also in avionics and fintech. I was a start-up entrepreneur and founder of a fabless company and I have filled management and engineering positions in business and product development, technical marketing and R&D. My working language has always been English and my two mother languages are Spanish and French.My current interests are 5G, regulation, AI and Blockchain innovation and economics. I co-founded a semiconductor start-up that grew to 20 million Euro annual revenue and in which I worked as CTO and Vice-President in charge of new business development, Intellectual Property sales/licensing, participation in standards bodies and IP licensing.I have been the CEO of a FinTech company working in High Speed & Algo trading. I also teach and consult in the areas of FinTech/RegTech/Industry 4.0I worked for two years in Business Development of UAV avionics.My long experience in Semiconductors design has provided me with a solid experience in a wide range of industries: Mobile communications, wearables, Drones, security, satellites and consumer electronics.I have also developed a keen interest in Innovation, Venture Capital and R&D funding, with a strong experience of collaboration with the EU’s innovation programs such as Horizon 2020, Framework Programs, Eureka and European Space Agency.I hold an Engineering master’s degree from Madrid’s Polytechnic University (UPM). This academic background covers computer science, electrical engineering and microelectronics.
