I'm an Anthropologist, Facilitator and Filmmaker trained in Social Sciences (MA-Ph.D.), Visual Arts (MA), and Art Therapy, with an extensive background in Participatory Creative Processes.I work as an expert in Social Communication, People & Community Empowerment, Peace-building and Dialogue with Communities in intercultural settings, mostly for non-governmental organizations in collaboration with civil society. I have a comprehensive experience in designing and implementing capacity-building, engagement and advocacy projects for marginalized communities as well as Monitoring-Evaluation of NGO programs using Participatory Media. As an author, I made several documentary films that enlighten extraordinary resilience narratives in ordinary people stories, their struggles, experiences and hopes.I also teach at Institute of Advanced Studies in Social Communications (IHECS) in Brussels, and gives workshops in Participatory Visual Methods and filmmaking for professionals, social workers, as well as seminars and lectures in Applied Visual Anthropology, Media Studies and Development Cooperation in other Graduate Schools and Universities. I founded Visual Exchange in 2018 to develop Participatory Visual Methods and Audiovisual Practices for Social and Personal Change, and to put Participatory Creative Processes at the service of all audiences, whatever their age, sex, religious or cultural background, situation or level of education.
