1) Assisting with marketing and press communications.2) Writing, devising on-line blog, facebook and twitter development to promote the event to young people and the wider community.3) Sorting delivery of 200 pieces of artwork, stacking, labelling, delivering and hanging artwork.4) Contributing to the selection of artwork, process, criteria and protocol.5) Collating biographies and artwork information.6) Assisting with Private View arrangements, operating the refreshment bar, welcoming guests and artists.7) Occasionally invigilating the exhibition. 8) Contributing to the evaluation report.

The Events and Publicity Officer is responsible for the logistics linked to the organisation of LASC events (like booking venues, setting up LASC events and stalls and for the update and distribution of LASC leaflets and other publicity materials). Sole Responsibility for:Organising and manning LASC stall at different LASC and non-LASC events (responsibility shared with Information Officer) Helping during events: Club Sandino and other fundraising and non-fundraising activities (responsibility shared mainly with Information Officer)Updating and organising distribution LASC’s leaflet regularly (every ¾ weeks).Designing and distributing other publicity materials (other leaflets, posters, etc.)Looking after the logistics (booking venue, setting date, setting up LASC’s stall, etc.) of Fundraising, Development Education and Solidarity events such as annual Pub Quiz, monthly Club Sandino, Thursday Night Talks, Public Meetings etc.) Responsibility is shared with Volunteer Coordinator, who will source the volunteers for these events. Linking with Information Officer for publicity of events on email list, website, media.Updating email event listBooking LASC /WSM shared meeting room for LASC events, campaign groups’ meetings, etc…Shared Responsibility for:Carrying forward LASC tasks, with individual responsibilities to be allotted as events come up, including for example:MailingsArranging for visiting Latin Americans to be accommodatedDrawing up LASC’s two month wall plannerDaily responsibility, in common with all LASC staff, for:Making LASC a welcoming environment for people who drop in Answering the phone and logging all callsMaintaining the officeNeed to work closely with the Volunteer Manager to source volunteers for events he/she is organising and for the distribution of publicity. He/she will also work closely with the Information Officer to ensure events are publicised through LASC’s internal channels and in the media.
