Since 2004, I have worked exclusively with NGO's developing marketing and fundraising campaigns. In the course of this I have traveled to over 30 countries, raised millions of dollars, and helped thousands of people. Having lived all over the world, I have done things like building outhouses with the Dutch military in Katutura Namibia, officiated a wedding for two strangers in Kampong Cham Cambodia, and made several tons of Kimchi in Rason, DPRK. These experiences make it easier for me to interact with others even if we don't share a common language, cross cultural communication is vital even when at home and the office.

I started Feed the North as a response to a meeting with Kim Yong-jin, the Minister of Education of the DPRK. I designed, built, and maintained aquaponic greenhouses (growing food without the use of soil or fertilizer) in order to feed roughly 500 people a day. Since the pandemic started we have focused on working with the unhoused in our area.
