Ever since childhood I was driven by the urge to understand how, computer and network related, techniques work to the tiniest detail. Just accepting that something works, is not for me. I want to understand how. This passion has caused that I require little effort to learn new technical topics since I often already understand the underlying techniques.In later years I have managed to, not only apply this characteristic to gaining technical knowledge but also to my coaching and managing tasks. So am I, for example, very interested in applying the concept of LEAN-management to ICT.My expertise and background in IT security has brought me in contact with a vast amount of different industries. Ranging from banking and finance to health care and Internet Service Providers. I have taken up different roles; from consultancy, ethical hacking, (secure) software development to research and development manager. Both in- and outside the Netherlands. Both in technical challenges as in working with people I'm always searching for that "just right"-approach. Making something, like security e.g., not a goal but consider it a means to something that needs to be accomplished.
